Summer House League Tournament – Mosquito Championship 2017

This year ABA enjoyed its first ever Summer House League Tournament & Championship.

We can tell you that the championship game was not lacking in the excitement department.  Where the visiting team had trailed the entire game to just fight back and tie it up in the top of the final inning.

The bottom inning was destined to be a memorable one where the visiting team had their best pitcher pitching and the home team had its best batters coming up to the plate.  The first battle was won by the pitcher as he struck out the first batter he faced.  The pitcher now only had 2 outs left to end the game.  The first pitch delivered to the second batter was a ball. The second pitch was a fastball sent over the plate, which was crushed by the bat into the opposite field.

A close game ended in dramatic fashion with a walk off home run and the kids swarming the “bringer of rain” at home plate!  Players & spectators were able to experience the summer tournament ending with loud cheers and smiles.
