Playing Season - 9U 2025
Registration Fee: $325.00
Our 9U program is designed for players aged 8 and 9 (born in 2016 & 2017).
Games and practies will be held at Ravina Gardens Wednesdays and Sundays between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Players are expected to arrive 20 minutes early to warm up and prepare for their games. The season will run from May until the mid September. Each player receives a uniform consisting of a fitted baseball cap, team jersey, pants, and ad belt. Our first session will be in May.

The Game
9U Rookieball is a version of baseball that employs a pitching machine to pitch the ball to the batter. This helps batters learn batting skills without fear of being hit by an errant ball thrown by a pitcher. It is more advanced than Tball because players are hitting a moving ball. More baseball rules are introduced to the player at this level and additional baseball skills are developed. When at-bat, all players on the team get a turn at bat regardless of the number of outs that inning.
Coaches & Volunteers
Annette Baseball runs on the strength of support from its families and volunteers. Each year we require coaching volunteers and parent assistance to keep our program going. If you are able to help coach, please indicate this on your registration form. Apart from a general knowledge of the rules of the game, no particular baseball knowledge or expertise is required to volunteer or be effective as a coach. The role mainly requires interest and a relatively modest time commitment.
