The course material is not the same and it alternates each year. Getting your Level One is considered to be a two-year program, so you must take the Level One course in two consecutive years.
Is there anything I can do to prepare for the course?
Sure, you can read up on the rules of baseball at the Baseball Ontario website.
You can also find various practice tests online, just google “Practice baseball umpire test” and you will find lots of quizzes to test your knowledge of the rules of the game.
Are the Annette House League rules the same as for Baseball Ontario?
There are some differences which take into account that some players are new to the game and, for example, might not know how to slide into home on a close play. Official house league rules are available at the bottom of this page in the Helpful Links section
