Thanks to all the Annette baseball families for making the 2022 season such a terrific success. Due to COVID, the 2022 season marked our first 'full' year of baseball in some time, and we greatly appreciate the efforts of our players, parents, coaches, and volunteers. It was great to see so many of you back on the diamonds.
To make 2023 an even better experience for our players and families, we will be holding a "Town Hall" meeting at Swansea Town Hall (95 Lavinia Avenue) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday November 3rd, 2022, to (i) seek input on the 2022 House League season, (ii) to discuss ideas for potential improvement of the on and off-field experience, and critically, (iii) to solicit support from interested individuals in taking on volunteer roles within the organization.
Many of our long-time volunteers and supporters have players who have aged (or are aging) out of the Annette system. To keep the league running smoothly, we need help in a number of important departments. For any of you who are not comfortable coaching, working in an volunteer capacity is a terrific and rewarding way to pitch in.
Currently we have the following open positions:
- Treasurer
- Registrar
- Select Manager
- Website Manager
- Social Media/Email Response
- Field/Equipment Manager
- Uniform/Awards Manager
- Sponsorship Manager
- Secretary
Most of these roles require relatively modest time committments. Where required, Training will be provided.
Please consider lending your support to the orgnization in any of these capacities. If you have a particular interest, please feel free to email us at the address below in advance of the Town Hall meeting.
We would like to encourage participation in the Town Hall in any way possible. We would love to see you in person, but If you are interested in attending virtually, please let us know and we will make arrangements to send you a video conference link. If you have questions or topics that you would like raised at the meeting, you are also welcome to email us at neilaparis@gmail.com, and we will make sure that your issue is raised and discussed.
